Sorry It's Been So Long....

.........but I was super busy with my termpapers and my finals...then I went home for Christmas. It is now the start of a new semester and this one is going to be crazier than the last! I am working 3 days a week and im also taking 19 units and trying to go to the gym....yeah im pretty much dead already.

Anyway, I dont have any awesome things I said today but I do have some funny stories that I will share.

So, there was a girl in my class who was gone for the first week of classes since we came back to school. She was here this week and i sat next to her in one of the classes on Monday. She told me that she was in Hawaii last week and that she had gone all over during her time off from school. I was like, sweet! that sounds like a good time. She told me she thought about me a lot during vacation. I told her, wow so you were in Maui and Melaney is what you were thinking about? ummm thats not normal hahah!  she told me that she actually thought about me a lot when she traveld out of provo because she told me that she realized that Utah is a very diffrent place. She said that most other places are more layed back and free spirited like me. then she told me that i am like "a creature from another planet" who was plucked up out of their own planet and put on this strange one.... hahahah !! I told her yeah I guess thats a good way to describe it. She said that she had lived in the "happy Valley" for a while and has gotten used to it but I still have my Californai spunk and flare. She tld me that she hopes that I can find like minded people out here so that I dont ever change. She told me that it has got to be drepressing to be so one of a kind out here. I tild her well im one of a kind in California too its just not shunned hahaha! she told me that she will keep an eye on me to make sure that I dont start to assimalate to much or get to depressed. lol
 sooooooo yeah im a creature from another plannet here in utah! lol.... werll let me tell you, sometimes it really does feel that way hahah!!! But it was super nice to know that someone understands what it feels liek to be SOOOOOOO FAR out of your element :) it was ust kinda good validation.

On a diffrent but still simmilar note, today I had a conversation with a couple of people from my class who said, are utah mormons really all that diffrent from california mormons? i told them ummmm heck yes.... its a BIG diffrence! andother girl jumped in and said, yes i have a cousin who has moved all arround and she said that utah mormons are still very diffrent from basically ANY OTHER mormon. the other girl asked what was so diffrent...... sooo we went on to make a list of some of the diffrneces ( now, i love some of the people in utah so just know that this was a list that was made buy like 3 people...2 of which are FROM utah.....
1. they are far more judgementsl ( i have seen this first hand hahah)
2. they have a much higher expectstion of perfection which is WHY  ( we think) they are so judgemental
3. We couldnt come up with the right word but it was kinda like superiority or entitlement?
4. They are way more uptight about things..... even fast paces ca is more laid back

we had out theories about why this is  and most of it came down to the expectation of perfection. They said that out here its more judgemental because people are trying to be perfect or live up to that expectation... whereas i feel that most californa mormons accept that cat they we are not perfect but just try to do better.... now these are VERY BIG generalizations and not eveyone is this way, thats not what I am saying at all..... its just funny because even people in utah know that they are diffrent :) so yeah. thats why I am a creature from another plannet because  im not to worried that im not pefect :) i think im a pefrct verson of whatever i am already hahahaha!!! (....prideful.... ooops one step further from perfection hahaha..... im alright with that... and thats why utah hates me hahaha!!!)

Ok, now a dirty joke/story :) cuz i know these are the only reasons why people read my blog hahah

So I had to go to an orientation meeting to learn how to use the clinic at school because I will be assigned my first client soon. So, I sat at a computer next to a friend from class ( ron, i think I have mentioned this poor classmate of mine before and hes a good sport haha). The guys from the audio/visual  department were coming in to the rtooms explaint to us that each room is diffrent. some of them have clocks, some have more chairs some have mirrirs some have videos so we need to make sure before we  reserve a room that it has everything that we need. So, we had to do a fake practice reservation. We had to include the clients name and make sure that we had video in it and that we had out correct tape number (we have to recored our sessions then we watch them with the class and we get critiquied...scary but helpful lol). SO, my friend ron used my melaney Gibbons.... video ...... yes......" so now you have to know where my mind went hahaha.... so I leaned over and told him, "Ron, make sure you get one with a mirror too !) lol and i gave him a little wink .... he started laughing! the he said, "Special instructions.... please make sure that there is at least one dark corner in the room...." hahahaha! i was craking up so hard.... ahhhhhh for one qick moment it almost felt as normal to me as home lol... i love it when people play along :)

And Lastly,

today marked my chocolate detox.... AHHHHHHHH lets see if I can do this!!!!!
